NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SOLE SOURCE AWARD; THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

The Contracting Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, intends to negotiate a firm

fixed price contract for the procurement of catering services, utilizing the procedures under FAR Part 13,

Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source,

The Naval Academy Catering, Naval Academy Business Services Division (NABSD) Per USNAINST

11100.7 A Paragraph 6.c. Catering Policy in Naval Academy Facilities, Subparagraph (2) Except for the

exclusions listed below, functions within Naval Academy facilities, regardless of the sponsoring activity,

will be exclusively catered by NABSD.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services in accordance with the information in

FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR Subpart 13.106, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for commercial

items. This combined synopsis/solicitation will be available for download on or about 16 March 2023

under Request for Quotation (RFQ) number N0018923R0029 at the following website:

https://beta.sam.gov/.

This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2023-01 and

DFARS Change Notice 20230201. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the

applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses are available in full text at the following addresses:

Firm-Fixed-Price contract under NAICS 722320. The Small Business Size Standard is $9,000,000.
