TITLE: TURN-KEY ARCH BEAM CRANE REPLACEMENT

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability of Large and Small Businesses (e.g., 8(a), Service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, Small disadvantaged business, Veteran-owned small business, and Women-owned small business) under NAICS code, 333923, that have the capability, experience, and expert knowledge to provide Architectural design, Engineering design and Equipment Installation Services as a single turn-key entity for the replacement of arch beam cranes.

This announcement is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) and does not commit the Government to award a contract now or in the future. No solicitation is available at this time. The purpose of this sources sought is to identify organizations with the requisite qualifications to provide the services stated herein. All small business organizations (SB SDB, WOSB, HUBZone, and VOSB and SDVOSB) are encouraged to respond to this notice.

NIST is seeking information on qualified Large and Small Businesses for a turn-key contract that can provide Architectural design, Engineering design and Equipment Installation under NAICS Code 333923. Services are for Gaithersburg, Maryland.

General Requirements:

1. Purpose: The purpose of this sources sought is to identify interested, qualified parties, capable of providing turn-key services for overhead “arch beam” crane replacement.

Projects will include demolition of existing overhead arch beam cranes and hoists. Replacement of cranes and hoists will require working over multiple pieces of large equipment which will require protection during construction. Abatement of hazardous containing material may also be included.

Projects will be subject to conformance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties (SOI Standards). Construction value is anticipated to be between $5M and $10M.

1. Discuss your firm’s experience with (fixed) overhead crane installation experience in the past five years. List the contract value for the crane installation. Provide experience for no more than four (4) projects.


2. Identify if the crane installation was turn-key.


3. Identify if the crane was in an existing workplace (occupied work area)

The total number of pages to reply to this source sought shall not exceed 15 pages.
