The Government requires a service to maintain for various machined items used in the lab, to include, but not limited to, mechanical fixtures, holders, and heat sinks for various laser related uses.

Disclaimer: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

NOTICE: THIS PROCUREMENT WILL BE CONDUCTED USING A TIERED EVALUATION OF OFFERS. THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES WILL BE UTILIZED:

INTENT TO SOLICIT ONLY ONE SOURCE

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government is soliciting and negotiating with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The name of the company the Government intends to award a contract to is: T&M Machine Shop, Inc., 12201 Distribution Way, Beltsville, MD 20705, CAGE Code: 4DG25; UEI: ZKSQXGMELDV4. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received prior to the closing date and time of this solicitation.

This acquisition is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ).

The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-01.

For purposes of this acquisition, the associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332710. The small business size standard is 500 employees.

Contract Line Item (CLIN) Structure: The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure, (including option(s), if applicable):

CLIN 0001: Base Year: One (1) job, Service agreement with T&M Machine Shop to maintain for various machined items.

CLIN 0002: Option Year One (1): One (1) job, Service agreement with T&M Machine Shop to maintain for various machined items.

CLIN 0003: Option Year Two (2): One (1) job, Service agreement with T&M Machine Shop to maintain for various machined items.

Specifications/Requirement: See attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) for detailed description of requirement.

Delivery: Delivery is a period of performance with one (1) twelve-month base year and two (2) twelve-month option periods each. (See the CLIN structure). Service will start no later than 30 days after receipt of order (ARO). Performance shall be made in T&M Machine Shop, Inc., 12201 Distribution Way, Beltsville, MD 20705. Delivery for the completed parts shall be made to U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC), Adelphi, MD 20783. Acceptance shall be performed at U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC), Adelphi, MD 20705. The FOB point is Destination.

In addition to the requirements set for the in FAR 52.212-1, all offers responding to this solicitation must provide their business size in relation to the NAICS code contained in this solicitation and shall identify any socioeconomic categories to which they belong.
