This is a Sources Sought Notice. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government from an ultimate acquisition approach. This notice should not be construes a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this notice. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this notice. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this Sources Sought Notice.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) is currently seeking sources for the purchase of eight (8) Direct Acting Air presses with standard column and stroke options. All presses shall be equipped with single channel pilot valve pneumatics, force output pre-selector, and ram drift lock valve. Two (2) low force presses shall operate at a force up to 945 lbs. force (Table 1). The remaining six (6) high force shall operate at a force up to 2800 lbs. force with multi-piston selector valve kit allowing for activation/deactivation of press cylinders for lower force operation (Table 2). Additionally, NSWC IHD requires the purchase of two (2) precision x/y nest alignment adaptors that fit into all press bases mentioned above.

In responding to this Sources Sought Notice, respondents should provide the following information:

• a description of the item (s) that may be offered, should the government pursue procurement of these services,


• past performance in providing the requested and/or similar services,


• a description of the respondent’s technical and manufacturing capabilities,


• company size (please identify as either, large, foreign, small, small disadvantaged, 8 (a), women-owned small business, historically underutilized business zone concern, veteran-owned small business, or service-disabled small business).

All interested sources shall also provide the organization name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, taxpayer identification, UEI number and/or CAGE code.
