Description





The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal Plant Health Inspection Services ( APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), National Center for Applied Plant Protection(NCAPP) located in Laurel, MD needs Monthly Pest management services in accordance with the Statement of Work. Pricing shall include all costs necessary to accomplish the services in the statement of work (including but not limited to: overhead, general and administrative, profit, insurance, transportation, labor hours, equipment and supplies)



Period of Performance is approximately twelve months and four possible twelve month option periods.





Contractor shall make a thorough inspection to evaluate the pests needs of all buildings at USDA-APHIS NCAPP complex both on the exterior and interior. The contractor will then install the proper pest monitoring program to evaluate active pest infestation, pest evidence or conducive conditions. All areas will be monitored and treated accordingly per project monitoring specifications.

The NCAPP opened in 1979 to safeguard agricultural resources from the risks associated with the entry, establishment or spread of exotic plant diseases from foreign germplasm introduced into the United States. Over the years, expansion projects have added other Programs to the facility.



The 128,000 square foot facility is made up of 10 connected buildings on over 127 acres of property situated in a mostly wooded area. The buildings range from greenhouses, screenhouses to office, lab and warehouse space. Within the buildings there are two lunchrooms and several restrooms.



The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561710 Exterminating and Pest Control Services. The Small Business Standard Size is $ 15.5 Mil. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set Aside.
