Scope
|
County Cable Montgomery (CCM), the Montgomery County Government access channel, provides informative programming about the services provided by Montgomery County Government that benefits residents, businesses and visitors. CCM is shared equally by the Executive and Legislative branches of Montgomery County Government (MCG or the County). Executive branch programming includes live and recorded public events, budget announcements, State of the County speeches, magazine-style, and interview shows. Legislative branch programming includes live and recorded County Council meetings, public hearings, townhalls, and committee sessions. The County Council is in session forty weeks per year. Other programming includes live traffic reports, school closings, weather, emergencies, Ride-on bus delays, or County sponsored program cancellations. Programming is aired 24/7 on Comcast, RCN and Verizon cable television. Currently, production services not provided by staff are managed under a contract. Funding is allocated through the County’s Annual Cable Communications Plan. The estimated total contract value is $2,000,000.00 for the 5-year term (1 year period, plus 4 options years). It is the County's intent to enter into a single contract with a qualified Contractor to provide professional television production, producer services, community engagement and anchor/interviewer staff for the creation of media content for CCM. |
