Scope

Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires the purchase of medical supplies and durable medical equipment for eligible Montgomery County residents. This IFB is intended to achieve DHHS’s goal of promoting a healthy, safe, and strong community.

The target population for these services are Montgomery County residents with physical or mental disabilities, who require services and supplies that enable them to remain in the community, and in their own homes, to improve their quality of life. This population includes individuals who are chronically and acutely ill, live with functional disabilities, or live with physical, mental, and/or emotional disabilities; those individuals who are elderly and frail; and special needs groups such as individuals with AIDS.

The offeror must provide high quality products to the County in the time frame specified in this solicitation. These products include, but are not limited to, disposable medical supplies (i.e. adult diapers, chux/under pads, non-sterile gloves, etc.) and durable medical equipment (i.e. walkers, bedside commodes, shower grab bars, etc.).
