Scope

The County is seeking to maximize the opportunities to provide preventive and primary health care under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act by integrating the SBHWC Program into the evolving universal health care reform environment system in Maryland. This includes utilizing an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system; expanding primary health care services (well child and related preventive health care) to all SBHWC students including those who are enrolled in the State’s Medical Assistance program called Maryland Children’s Health Program (MCHP), and HealthChoice; and extending outreach to support the expansion of health care benefits to the child-adolescent population served by the SBHWC Program.
Contract(s) resulting from this Request for Proposal (RFP) will provide services at

(1) Scope I - School Based Health Centers (SBHC) or
(2) Scope II - School Based Wellness Centers (SBWC) or
(3) Both Scope I and Scope II.

Offeror(s) may propose to only provide services at SBHCs or SBWCs, or at both types of sites. Offerors must indicate which type of center(s): Scope I for SBHCs; or Scope II for SBWCs; or both Scopes I and II, by completing Attachment G. Offerors must submit a separate proposal for each type. Offerors will not receive preference in the award process for offering to provide services at both. The County reserves the option to make one or two contract awards from this RFP as necessary to meet all of the County’s needs as specified in this RFP. Please go to:
