Scope
|
Montgomery County, Maryland (hereafter, the County) invites proposals from qualified service providers who provide full lifecycle Information Technology (hereafter, IT) services. The selected service provider (hereafter, the Contractor) shall provide IT services to the County as described in the following sections. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for computing devices (hereinafter referred to as “Digital Equity Devices”) for individuals and businesses to continue to attend school and conduct business in on-line virtual formats. To address this need, numerous federal and state grant programs provided funding for the purchase and distribution of Digital Equity Devices. The County may use the contract resulting from this solicitation to purchase Digital Equity Devices if similar funding becomes available to the County during the course of the resulting contract or in the event the County Council elects to implement its own Digital Equity Device Program. The purchase of Digital Equity Devices or implementation of a Digital Equity Device Program are not part of the monthly service fee and will be compensated for based up on the nature of funding received or program to be implemented. The purchase of products and services under the resulting contract, including Digital Equity Devices is subject to the availability of funds. The County is not required to purchase products and services, including Digital Equity Devices, from the selected Contractor and reserves the right to obtain products and services from other vendors in accordance with County Procurement Regulations. The County reserves the right to phase the implementation of IT services awarded under the resulting contract to ensure an orderly transition between contracted services if needed. The County intends to make one award as a result of this RFP. |
