INVITATION FOR BIDS

CITY OF BOWIE, MARYLAND

REDEVELOPMENT OF WELL #5

The City of Bowie, Maryland requests bids for the redevelopment of Well #5 located at 12215 Foxhill Lane, Bowie, Maryland.

The work shall be consistent with the Scope of Services contained in this Invitation for Bids (IFB). The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids if the evidence submitted by the bidder or an investigation of such bidder fails to satisfy the City that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract; and further reserves the right to reduce or modify the scope of the Project in order to meet funding limits and the City’s schedule. By submission of a bid, the bidder represents that it has the ability to comply with all requirements contained in the Invitation for Bids.

Although there will not be a pre-bid meeting, interested bidders are encouraged to attend one of the two site visits scheduled on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Site visit attendees are to check in at the Public Works Administrative office, 16500 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland no later than 12:45 a.m. on March 27 th and 9:45 p.m. on March 29 th .

All questions or requests for clarifications regarding this Invitation for Bids shall be submitted by email to Jackie Tayman at jtayman@cityofbowie.org For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. no later than 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Written responses to all questions and/or clarifications will be issued no later than Friday, April 7, 2023, to all those who request the IFB.

The subject line of the email must read BID: REDEVELOPMENT OF WELL #5. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud via a virtual meeting. A link to join the meeting will be emailed to all plan holders. All blanks on each form provided by the City in connection with this Invitation for Bids must be filled in, and no change shall be made to any part of the text of the form. All bids must be signed in ink by the bidder, with signature in full. When a firm submits a bid, the agent who signs the firm name shall, in addition, state the names and addresses of the individuals composing the firm. Performance and payment bonds will be required.

Neither the City nor its representatives shall be liable for any expenses incurred by anyone in connection with the preparation of a response to this IFB.
