Sources Sought Notice for Classical Swine Fever Virus Vaccine, Chinese Strain.





BACKGROUND:

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), National Veterinary Stockpile (NVS) is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for obtaining Classical Swine Fever Virus Vaccine (Chinese strain). The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 325414 with a size standard of 1,250 employees.



REQUIREMENT:

The vaccine(s) must be (1) in on-going production, distribution, and use in one or more jurisdictions or countries in the world; (2) suitable for use in swine; (3) and while not required to be eligible for award, a contractor will eventually have to obtain either a US license or permit for the vaccine. Full payment will be withheld until a USDA-issued license or permit is obtained.



PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

The primary objective of issuing the Sources Sought is to seek information and comments from companies that own or have the right/ability to license/permit CSF vaccines. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort. Responses should address these areas:



A. Describe your company Classical Swine Fever Virus Vaccine(s) Chinese strain that is/are currently in production and distribution.

B. Identify marketing authorizations or approvals for your company's CSF vaccine(s).

C. Provide a brief description of the manufacturing facilities and process.

D. Provide a brief summary of purity, safety, potency, proof of license, and efficacy data.



THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.



BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. No feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions.
