Description

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Control Factors-Seattle Inc (UEID JNVAD1K8FLU4 / SMALL BUSINESS).



Requirement:



The USCG has two 45 RBM hull types in immediate need of 02 duplex strainers each to complete repairs and return the vessels to fully mission capable status.



Item:



3" FF Flanged Eaton MDL #53 Duplex Strainer, Bronze Body & Cover with Buna-N Seals. Includes (2) each 316-SSTL Baskets with 5/32" PERF



See attached Justification (JOTFOC/J&A)



The total estimated value is less than $70,000.00



This sole source brand name contracting action is in accordance with Federal Aquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(2)(b) (Urgency) and 6.303-2 modified to reflect procedures in 13.5 (a)(ii).



Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objectives.



The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government.



Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive solicitation for future requirements that are urgent in nature and for this item type.



The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
