The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD 20670 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp., 1 Branca Road, East Rutherford, NJ 07073 (Cage Code: 92606) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The Fleet Readiness Center Aviation Support Equipment (FRC ASE) at NAS JRB New Orleans has a requirement to maintain repair and overhaul Avionics Ground Support Equipment for various agencies. The service listed herein will be used in support of this equipment. This requirement is for the repair of four (4) Beacon Simulators. Previous contract N6852023P0047 was awarded in accordance with the Statement of Work scope to repair two Beacon Simulators. This contract was awarded on 12 April 2023 with a delivery date of 60 days after date of contract award. All deliverables were met and the contract was fully funded. Since then, four Beacon Simulators require repair. For this reason, the government intends to procure these products on a sole source basis from Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp. (Cage Code 92606).
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
