This is a Sources Sought notice for domestically manufactured products only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. Per the Buy American Act and Executive Order 14005, the National Institutes of Allergy & Infectious Disease (NIAID) is seeking information for domestically manufactured products only, Per the requirements under the Buy American Act and requirements relating to Executive Order 14005 entitled: “Ensuring the Future is Made in All of America by All of America’s Workers”, in the event that a nonavailability waiver request submitted through the Made in America Office (MIAO)’s Digital Waiver Portal is required." Respondents must certify in capabilities statement that products are manufactured in the United States.





The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all U.S manufactured products that are equal to the following product:





Heating Shaking Orbital Incubator



Specifications:



The benchtop incubator shaker must meet the following requirements:



• Must include the ability to vertically stack two benchtop incubator shakers.



• Must have an adjustable orbital shaking motion with options of 12.5mm, 25mm, and 50mm diameter throw.



• Must have a minimum shaking speed of 20rpm for all orbital throw diameters.



• Must have a maximum shaking speed of 500rpm for 12.5mm orbital throw diameter.



• Must have a maximum shaking speed of 400rpm for 25mm orbital throw diameter.



• Must have a maximum shaking speed of 300rpm for 50mm orbital throw diameter.



• Must have an ambient temperature range from 10°C to 35°C. Heated temperature range from ambient +5°C – 50°C.



• Must have multiple shaker tray options including a tray with adhesive strips, fixed clamps, for microtiter plates, rubber mat, support bars, and a tray for separating vessels.





• Shaker tray must be capable of holding the following quantity of each respective flask volume:





o 1x 6,000mL flask



o 2x 5,000mL Corning flasks



o 2x 5,000mL flasks



o 2x 4,000mL flasks



o 4x 3,000mL flasks



o 5x 2,000mL flasks



o 5x 1,500mL flasks



o 9x 1,000mL flasks



o 14x 500mL flasks



o 18x 300mL flasks



o 20x 250mL flasks



o 24x 200mL flasks



o 26x 150mL flasks



o 26x 125mL flasks



o 36x 100mL flasks



o 49x 50mL flasks



o 80x 25mL flasks





• Must include a non-shaking, fixed shelf within the incubation chamber for static experiments and cultures including T-style flasks, multi-well plates, and petri dishes.



• Incubation chamber must be constructed of stainless steel for cleaning and sterilization purposes.



• Hood and shaker tray must be easily removable/disassembled for cleaning.



• Must include an access port from the exterior of the equipment to the incubator chamber for temperature monitoring sensors, tubes, and other wires.



• 110-120V/50-60 Hz



• E-Tray with Stick Strips (Clear 6mm)





Capability Statement/Information Sought



All capable vendors should respond with a brief capability statement demonstrating an equal product that is manufactured in the United States by May 1, 2024, by 9:00 AM EST.





Capabilities statement must also include the following information: 1) organization name, address, point of contact, email address, website address, telephone number, UE ID# with an active SAM.gov registration, and a tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of capability.

Interested businesses who consider themselves qualified to provide an equal product that is manufactured in the United States for the above-listed product are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by May 1, 2024, by 9:00 AM EST.
