SCOPE
A. The Contractor must provide all material, labor, tools, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation,
superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services and facilities
necessary to complete the construction of a postal facility for the Postal Service, including all
incidental work described in the contract documents.
B. Dining room and food service line upgrades in the Osgood building at Bolger Conference Center.
The scope of work will include, but is not limited to the following:
1. General: Existing facility (main kitchen and dining room) shall remain in operation
throughout construction. Temporary barriers / dust control shall be provided to not impact
facility operations.
2. Architectural:
a. Modifications to existing serving line and dining room.
b. Demolition of existing partitions, ceilings, doors, serving equipment.
c. Provide new partitions, ceilings, floor finishes, windows, and doors.
d. New serving line casework and counters.
e. Replace food service equipment.
3. Mechanical/Plumbing:
a. Modify sprinkler system to serve new ceiling layout.
b. Add hand sinks, sinks, floor drains, and floor sinks to serve new kitchen
equipment layout.
c. Modify diffuser layout and ductwork as required to serve new ceiling layout.
d. Add radiant heating panels in service area to replace demolished fin tube
radiators along perimeter wall.
4. Electrical:
a. Demolition of existing power and lighting in the area modified.
b. New lighting layout with LED light fixtures.
c. Provide occupancy sensor controls in public space.
d. Add receptacles and power for new food service equipment.
e. Provide new branch circuit wiring and raceways for new light fixtures and
general-purpose receptacles.
f. Provide telecom wiring and outlets for equipment.
g. Provide new branch circuit wiring, raceways, disconnects, and starters for
new mechanical equipment to include radiant heaters.
C. All work shall be in accordance with applicable codes and local regulations that may apply. In case
of conflict in or between the Contract Documents and a governing code or ordinance, the more
stringent standard shall apply.
