THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY.





This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute an RFP or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI is to better understand the current training inert/safe non-firing gun style of P320 9mm Optic Ready Pistols. This RFI does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supplies or services. INSCOM is not seeking proposals at this time. Responders are advised the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responder's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if issued. The U.S. Government has not made a commitment to procure any of the supplies or services discussed herein, and release of this RFI shall not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur costs for which reimbursement would be required or sought. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award an Other Transaction Agreement or Contract, nor does it restrict the U.S. Government to a particular acquisition approach. Any information provided to the U.S. Government as a result of this RFI is voluntary. Respondents will not be notified of the results from this RFI. All submissions will be used for review in the context of this RFI or related potential future solicitations and will be held and used for these purposes only. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any improperly identified proprietary information. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations; formal notices will be released on https://sam.gov website. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the website for additional information pertaining to this requirement.





GENERAL INFORMATION: The contractor shall provide all personnel, management support, and non-personal services necessary to continue support to the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). It serves as the scope of work and is the basis for all work to be performed. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the Contractor’s service providers in their performance to the services herein. Contractor service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn, is responsible to the Government.





Description of Services/Introduction: G-4 is interested in an inert/safe non-firing red gun. This safe red gun must adhere to all functions of a P320 9mm Optic Ready pistol to include three steel magazines. The training weapon must be of a distinct color to identify from a real weapon (red).



Dimensions, weight, length of barrel, trigger and grip shall be the same or as close to the real weapon. The three magazines must be able to carry 17 rounds each.







ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND SUBMISSION DETAILS: Interested parties are requested to submit a capabilities statement of no more than two (2) pages in length in Times New Roman font of not less than 10 pitch.
