This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested.





The Department of Critical Care Medicine serves as the clinical laboratory of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Clinical Center. Provide high quality patient care and hospital services in support of NIH clinical research programs, to pursue research that contributes to our knowledge and practice of transfusion medicine and related technologies, and to provide advanced training in transfusion medicine. Together these programs promote the basic goals of the Clinical Center. The NIH and DHHS: that is, to enhance the health and well-being of Americans.





The purpose of this requirement is to acquire purchase and replacement of mechanical ventilators that have reached end of useful life.





The recommended service life for Mechanical ventilator replacement due to fleet reaching the end of useful life. Mechanical ventilator replacements require enhanced technology and newer technology to facilitate better assessment, monitoring, and diagnostic capabilities.





Hamilton Medical, Reno, NV 89502 is uniquely qualified to replace the existing Mechanical ventilator. Hamilton Medical the manufacture of is the only known distributor of the compatible equipment. The Hamilton C6 provides a wide range of options and features, allowing mechanical ventilation to be tailored to fit the requirement of a critically ill ICU patient while meeting the needs of each individual patient. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements.





Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
