ABERDEEN ADVANCED WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT

DIGESTER GAS FLARE IMPROVEMENTS

ABERDEEN PROJECT #22-15

The City of Aberdeen will receive sealed bids for the improvements to the existing anaerobic digester gas flare and safety equipment at its Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant (AAWWTP) in accordance with the Contract Documents.

Bidding documents are available online free of charge at HTTPS://Aberdeenmd.gov/bids. Online registration is required. For further information, please contact Mr. Shawn Brogan, Procurement Officer, 60 North Parke Street, Aberdeen, MD 21001, at 410-272-1600 x 223, or via email at sbrogan@aberdeenmd.gov .

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on April 13, 2023 at the AAWWTP located at 361 Michael Lane, Aberdeen MD 21001, and followed by a site visit.  Any other site visit shall be scheduled with Mr. Shawn Brogan minimum three (3) days in advance till one week before bid opening.   Questions concerning the information provided in the bidding documents will be accepted until 4:00 PM prevailing time, on May 5, 2023.

Hard copies of the complete bids shall be delivered to Mr. Shawn Brogan at the City Office, 60 North Parke Street, Aberdeen, Maryland 21001 no later than 2:00 PM prevailing time, on May 18, 2023, and must be clearly marked "AAWWTP DIGESTER GAS FLARE IMPROVEMENTS BID NO. 22-15".  Bids shall be promptly opened and read aloud following the time of the receipt of bids.

All bids shall be in the form of a Lump Sum price with a clearly defined list of all items included in the bidding documents.

Authority of the City of Aberdeen shall in all cases, determine the amount, quality and acceptability of the equipment proposed.

Bids may be modified or withdrawn by an appropriate document duly executed and delivered to the place where bids are to be submitted at any time prior to the deadline for bids.

It is a requirement of the Contract that at least 50% of the Work required for this Project be performed by Bidder’s labor force and not by sub-bidders.

No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date set for the opening of bids.

The CITY OF ABERDEEN hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all, to reject any or all bids and to waive any omissions, errors, or irregularities in any Bid.
