NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed proposals addressed to the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Cumberland, Maryland 21502, until but not after 2:00 p.m.., local time, on 12/21/2022. Proposals will be publicly opened and read at 2:30 p.m. on that date in City Hall Council Chambers. All proposals must be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope, plainly marked on the outside thereof,
NORTH END WATER TANK PAINTING
CITY PROJECT NO.
2022-37-WTR
This project includes the painting of the interior and exterior of the North End Water Tank. The exterior of tank shall be remediated for lead-based paint. The existing ladder for the water tank shall be removed and replaced with an OSHA compliant ladder system.

“MANDATORY PREBID SESSION”
for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions of parties interested in performing the work, relative to construction details, will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. on 12/6/2022 via Teleconference (Google Meet). A link will be provided to all interested parties.
A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the full amount of the accepted bid will be required of the successful bidder. A Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid.
The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.
