The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC or Commission) Procurement Office issues this Invitation for Bid (IFB) on behalf of the Information Technology (IT) Department to solicit bids from prospective Bidders to purchase Nokia Network Operations Systems Platform (NSP) server and proprietary appliance enablement (services) classified as deliverables by Nokia of America Corporation. WSSC’s current 5620 SAM is obsolete and no longer useable to monitor and manage nodes throughout the WSSC’s microwave network. The purchase of this new hardware will prevent unforeseen node failures in the microwave network and greatly minimize catastrophic communications loss within the WSSC network. The new device will provide the ability to maintain node software updates in adherence to WSSC’s current Nokia software service support policies (maintaining software updates).
