Scope

The core product must include:

1. Integrated Library System (ILS) Compatibility • The product must be fully compatible with the Koha ILS & the Aspen Discovery layer (supported by ByWater Solutions).

2. Address Verification • The product must authenticate information entered by patrons into an online library card application form against a database in real time to ensure patron is affiliated with the address entered. • The product must be able to reflect current MCPL account policies ( https://montgomerycountymd.gov/library/services/card.html ), using combinations of zip codes, cities, and counties to verify eligibility for an MCPL library card. • The product must be able to identify and define service areas through the use of specific local data, zip codes, tax records or shape files (GIS mapping) for the purpose of address verification.

3. Form Customization • The verification form must be able to contain customized fields based on current library account policies: https://montgomerycountymd.gov/library/services/card.html .

4. Data Analytics and Reporting • The product must include reporting metrics showing data including but not limited to authentication success rates, total cards issued and types of cards issued, with the ability to export data in conventional formats such as .CSV and .XML.

5. Ability to set up maintenance schedules and software updates.

6. Ability to shadow, delete and add branch Libraries (include charge if applicable).

7. Vendor must specify whether product supports Windows Active Directory Single Sign On (SSO) integration.
