Request for Proposal – Municipal Fiber Installation

The City of Greenbelt is requesting proposals to install fiber optic cabling between several City buildings (listed below). Each connection will originate in the City Municipal Building and terminate at one of the other City buildings. Utilizing a common path or conduit for multiple cables to connect various buildings is acceptable. Each building will have a minimum of 24 strands installed with all strands terminated. Connectivity between buildings will be a minimum of 1Gb/sec with future scalability to 10Gb/sec capabilities. Proposals will include a rack and fiber interface panels and any other necessary equipment for the Municipal Building. Fiber strands will be terminated on both ends and tested for connectivity. Contractor will supply a final “as built” network diagram for the fiber installed showing installation routes and network layout. All work will comply with Prince Georges County regulations and industry standards. All work will be coordinated with City of Greenbelt Pubic Works staff and Information Technology staff.

It is the responsibility of all proposers to check the website for answers to questions.
